Optimised for face-to-face meetings, and for remote clients both interstate and internationally, the process of creating your ideal engagement ring is as simple as the following six steps:
Step One
Initial enquiry
When an email inquiry is received, our team will request further information regarding what broad design, stone shape, or concept that you prefer, in order to gather information to prepare for your Initial Consultation. If the ring is a surprise, we will work with you in-consultation to curate the perfect piece for you both. Gathering as much information as possible at this early stage provides our team with some key starting points to create your dream ring.
Step Two
Initial consultation
After an in-person appointment or digital consultation has been booked, we look forward to welcoming you to our Collins Street office, or meeting you via digital consultation. In this consultation, we review the design elements of the desired piece and review the major details and elements of the ring design. At this stage, we will review any deadlines, production time frames and discuss any sizing information.
We then take you through the major specifications of natural diamonds far beyond the typically offered ‘Four Cs’ to ensure that you are fully equipped with the knowledge required to select a diamond that works best for your budget and design vision. After reviewing diamond specifications, we work together to determine what set of specifications may represent your ideal diamond, to direct our diamond search.
Step Three
Diamond Curation and Selection
After having established your desired diamond specifications and design, we search through the international market to find diamond options that are perfectly curated to suit your individual needs. Each diamond option is discussed in-detail to determine the perfect stone.
Step Four
Diamond inspection
Once your perfect diamond has been selected, a face-to-face consultation is arranged for you to view the chosen stone, to ensure total satisfaction with your selection, prior to the setting process. For international and interstate clients, a series of high-resolution videos of the stone in a variety of light settings, and shown against the hand are provided as an initial inspection. During this inspection, the final design and any small changes necessary are determined, and the diamond is ready to be lovingly set into your perfect ring!
Step Five
Production
Your ring is handcrafted in our Melbourne workshop to your exact specifications, and is scheduled for production with one of our two master craftsmen. Our craftsmen have experience that spans collectively over 90 years in the trade, and we actively support the training and development of young professionals to ensure the longevity of the industry, our brand and manufacturing. All of our rings are produced in-house here in Melbourne, Australia and are forged from base metal. The rings are forged by hand, and diamonds are set on-site to ensure security and strict quality-control. All of our pieces come with a lifetime manufacturing guarantee. As a result of this careful production process, production times can vary between 4-8 weeks, depending on any design iterations, and the complexity of the ring design.
Step Six
Final inspection
Once your diamond ring has been finished and has undergone its final polish and claw check, you are notified of its completion, and a collection appointment is booked. Alternatively, fully insured shipping can be arranged to your home. We are pleased to offer fully insured shipping both nationally and internationally to your doorstep, so that you can purchase with confidence.
