Saphira Size Guide

There are many ways to obtain your correct ring size, and a few variables to consider. When measuring your ring size, it is important to consider the following factors that influence the fit of your ring:

Temperature and Weather
On cooler days, your rings will fit slightly looser. On warmer days, or in humid weather, your rings will fit on the tighter side. We recommend measuring your ring size when you are feeling cool and warm to obtain an average on the most comfortable size.

Hydration and Hormonal Changes
Your level of sodium intake, hormonal changes and level of hydration all play a role in the fit of your rings. It is important to measure your ring size when you wake up in the morning, and before bed to obtain the most comfortable average fit. Hormonal factors such as pregnancy, menopause and other changes can change your ring size over time, this is totally normal.

Band Width
The thicker the band of your ring, the tighter the fit, and vice versa. Our Signature Slimline Solitaire is 1.5mm wide, and tends to fit on the looser side. Hence, we recommend sizing a half size down from your regular finger size for this signature style. Our wedding bands tend to fit true to size, while thicker bands such as eternity bands tend to fit on the tighter side, so we recommend sizing a half size up from your regular size. If you are unsure, please contact customer service and one of our friendly consultants can assist you.

How to measure your finger:

Your ring should fit comfortably and snug enough so that it will not fall off your finger, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle. They should fit comfortably and not restrict the movement of the fingers.

For engagement rings and wedding bands, your ring should not spin a full rotation around the finger on its own. In this case, this indicates that the ring is one size too large. If the ring tilts side to side, but does not undergo a full rotation on its own, this can indicate that a half size adjustment is needed. Your ring should sit up, in the correct position on the finger, and should not spin on its own on the hand.

For men’s rings and wedding bands, they should be twisted off 1 or 2 times over the knuckle to release the ring, and should not be loose enough such that you can shake the band off on its own.

Methods to obtain your ring size:

Use the Saphira Ring Sizer
Using the Saphira Ring Sizer, place one end of the measuring tab through the loop, and move the tab such that it indicates the correct letter sizing. This tab is accurate to a half-size, and can be re-used to measure your finger at different times of the day. The Signature Slimline Solitaire should be fitted as one size down from what the Saphira Ring Sizer indicates, and is accurate for thicker bands, such as eternity rings and men’s wedding rings
